A firm in the pension industry is seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer. The prospective candidate will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and will form part of the succession plan for the department. The prospective candidate should possesses a minimum educational qualification of a first degree or its equivalent and/or professional qualification in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Auditing, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Law, or in any other numerate or semi numerate field. This is in addition to being computer literate, having a good understanding of financial records and relevant regulatory requirements (especially as it relates to the Pension Industry).A minimum of two (2) years working experience in Compliance functions will be ideal (but not mandatory).
In addition to the above qualifications, he/she is expected to:
· Be confident, have a desire and passion for excellence and be committed to self-development.
· Be honest, impartial, candid and must possess a high level of integrity with good business judgement.
· Be firm but fair and must have the ability to remain calm under pressure, deal with delicate situations and appropriately define priorities.
